Laurie Hulin - pianist and piano teacher, church worker, visual artist, avid gardener, Jose Carreras fan, Italian opera enthusiast, devoted reader of the Bible, Goethe and Tagore. She was the wife of Rev. Charles J. Hulin III, who served the Lasker Baptist Church from 1994-1999, and mother of pianist and festival coordinator Charles J. Hulin IV. From 1998 to 2006, she served as the primary host of festival participants in the Lasker Baptist Church parsonage providing comfortable rooms, great meals, and company that was fun and edifying.
